Abstract:

Objective

To explore the relationship between the expressions of ER,PR and PS2 and the clinicopathological parameters in infiltrating ductal breast carcinoma.

Method

The expressions of ER,PR and PS2 in 155 cases of infiltrating ductal breast carcinoma were detected with the immunohistochemical method(SP).

Results

The positive rate of PS2 was found in 38.1 % cases of infiltrating ductal breast carcinoma, and the coincidence rate of ER and PR was 60.6% and 62.6%,respectively.The expression of PS2 was 48.6% in the ER positive group and 29.4% in the ER negative group ( P<0.05),and 50.8% in the PR positive group and 28.9% in the PR negative group ( P<0.01). The PS2 expression was positively correlated with ER and PR,and was related to axillary lymphnode status (P<0.001) and clinical stage (P<0.05),but was not associated with age, menopausal status and tumor size(P>0. 05). In addition, there was disparity of PS2 expression between the Han and Uygur people, but no significant difference was found.

Conclusion

The expression of PS2 in infiltrating ductal breast carcinoma was positively correlated with ER and PR,and associated with the status of axillary lymph node and clinical stage, which was a good prognostic factor. PS2 expression may be an index for endocrinotherapy of breast carcinoma.PS2 has important significance in guiding clinical endocrinotherapy of breast cancer.
